TWO STAGES UNIT CONDENSATION + ADSORPTION

• Condensation of hydrocarbons by cooling (1st stage) + activated carbons (2nd stage) regenerated by vacuum.
• No overheating of activated carbon beds, most of HC are condensed in the first stage.
• Heavy HC vapors processing.
• Direct monitoring of recovered HC.

VRU-CA: CONDENSATION + ADSORPTION

The Vapor Recovery Unit is composed by a two section exchanger (one section is in operation while the other is defrosting or in stand-by) cooled by a screw Freon compressor and two activated carbon beds: one in operation, while the second is regenerated by vacuum. Vapors of HC are condensed by cooling and the remaining are adsorbed by activated carbons, the desorbed hydrocarbons are sent back to the condensing section. Condensed hydrocarbons settle down in a vessel from where are pumped back to customer’s storage tanks.
